Here are some of the things I've done
Full stack project on a .NET platform with heavy JavaScript and a proprietary back-end rendering engine :: The end-user can view contruction materials (flooring, paint, roofing, siding) on pre-defined building and room scene images. Among other things, the user can save projects, filter product selections, and share their work on social networks :: Technologies used: HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript/jQuery, Photoshop, Visual Studio, .NET
First mobile version of the Ford Employee Portal :: The full version of @Ford is built on SharePoint. I built a JavaScript-heavy interface that retrieved, parsed, and displayed the SharePoint data from the original website. The media files were converted and the interface customized to accommodate both Silverlight and other display architectures :: Technologies used: HTML 5, CSS 3, jQuery, .NET, SharePoint, SharePoint Designer, XSLT
Local preschool website built on the Drupal platform :: A local school needed a low-cost, feature-rich website. They also wanted to be able to update it themselves. I designed and implemented my own theme, taking input from the school director. I also helped them implement various other free services to enhance the site, such as Flickr and Google Calendar. :: Technologies used: Drupal, Photoshop, CSS, Dreamweaver
Pages built specifically for Google Paid Search, loading regional offer information dynamically per vehicle model based on ZIP code :: I built and maintained dedicated Google Search pages for Chrysler. The data for the vehicles was stored in JavaScript objects on the pages, and the offer data for the current promotions was retrieved through web services defined by ZIP code :: Technologies used: HTML, CSS, Javascript, Dreamweaver
Numerous Ford internal applications requiring heavy JavaScript and HTML/CSS :: We supported all types of applications - dealer-facing, parts administration, security, etc. Most of the projects required heavy customizations to our internal JavaScript library, as well as the periodic creation of new componenets :: Technologies used: HTML 4/5, CSS 2/3, Mootools, jQuery, Struts, JSF, PrimeFaces, Dreamweaver
Local small business specializing in flat panel and architectural wood finishing :: Originally I built this as a static 'brochure' site through my freelance business several years ago. Currently I am rebuilding it as a soon-to-be-release responsive website with a great new design, new content, and social media integration. :: Technologies used: HTML 5, CSS 3, jQuery, Dreamweaver
Mobile portal for Ford of Mexico sales data :: I was fortunate to get involved in some of Ford's early mobile web projects. I built a user interface for the Ford of Mexico sales portal. The data was supplied through a service called Web FOCUS, but the built-in UI for the tool is not optimized for mobile. I created a sleek, clean, mobile-friendly, UI and it turned out great. :: Technologies used: HTML, CSS, Dreamweaver, WebFOCUS, Photoshop
PHP website for non-profit organization dedicated to economic education :: I designed, built, and implemented a PHP website with a MySQL back end. I set up my own authentication logic and managed a groups of over 400 active users. Eventually the site was converted to Drupal because the owner wanted direct edit access and more features. :: Technologies used: PHP, PHPMyAdmin, Photoshop, HTML, CSS, Dreamweaver
Reference application for Ford internal application development teams :: Our application support team worked closely with the Java Center of Excellence to maintain the Struts-based "Java Adventure Builder" (JAB). I was the first front-end developer to work on the proof-of-concept for the 2nd generation JSF/PrimeFaces version of JAB :: Technologies used: HTML 5, CSS 3, JSF, Primefaces, Rational Software Architect
Non-profit medical clinic serving low-income areas in metro Detroit :: This freelance client was particularly active and cooperative in the development process, allowing for quick turnaround and well-planned content. This is another site I did in Drupal, but it was the prior release version to what I ususally use. It required more configuration, custom coding, and styling tweaks. :: Technologies used: Drupal, Photoshop, CSS, Dreamweaver
Custom JavaScript componenet library designed for use in Ford's Struts environment :: Our application support team built and mantained an extensive JavaScript componenet library that was used by the Java teams in their Struts applications. It was based in MooTools. In addition to customizing existing components, I added several items to the library, including a Progress Bar and Checkbox Reveal Toggle feature. :: Technologies used: Mootools
Internal data and asset management tool for monthly web resource updates :: At Organic, I was responsible for publishing 95 individual regional websites for new Chrysler product offers each month. Additionally, our group handled 4500+ ad units. We built a complex PHP/MySQL solution that allowed us to semi-automate much of our work. :: Technologies used: PHP, PHPMyAdmin, Photoshop, HTML, CSS, Dreamweaver
